Genesis 19
two angels came to Sodom in the evening
When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground (Gen 19:1 NAS)
my lords, please turn aside into your servant's house, and spend the night
They said however, "No, but we shall spend the night in the square (Gen 19:2 NAS)
he urged them strongly, so they turned aside to him and entered his house
Before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house (Gen 19:4 NAS)
and they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them (Gen 19:5 NAS)
Lot went out to them at the doorway, and shut the door behind him (Gen 19:6 NAS)
and said, "Please, my brothers, do not act wickedly (Gen 19:7 NAS)
I have two daughters .. please let me bring them out to you, and do to them whatever you like; only do nothing to these men (Gen 19:8 NAS)
they pressed hard against Lot and came near to break the door (Gen 19:9 NAS)
But the men reached out their hands and brought Lot into the house with them, and shut the door (Gen 19:10 NAS)
And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness (Gen 19:11 NAS)
the men said to Lot, "Whom else have you here? .. bring them out of the place (Gen 19:12 NAS)
the LORD hath sent us to destroy it (Gen. 19:13 KJV)
Lot .. spoke to his sons-in-law.. But he appeared to his sons-in-law to be jesting (Gen. 19:14 KJV)
when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise (Gen. 19:15 KJV)
the men seized his hand and the hand of his wife and the hands of his two daughters..and they brought him out, and put him outside the city (Gen. 19:16 KJV)
one said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, and do not stay anywhere in the valley (Gen. 19:17 KJV)
But Lot said to them, "Oh no, my lords! (Gen 19:18 NAS)
you .. saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest the disaster overtake me and I die (Gen 19:19 NAS)
this town is near enough to flee to, and it is small. Please, let me escape there (Gen 19:20 NAS)
he said to him, "Behold..not to overthrow the town of which you have spoken (Gen 19:21 NAS)
Hurry, escape there.. Therefore the name of the town was called Zoar (Gen 19:22 NAS)
The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar (Gen. 19:23 KJV)
Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; (Gen. 19:24 KJV)
And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities (Gen. 19:25 KJV)
But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt (Gen. 19:26 KJV)
Abraham arose early in the morning and went to the place where he had stood before the LORD (Gen. 19:27 NAS)
And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah.., the smoke of the country went up (Gen. 19:28 KJV)
God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities (Gen. 19:29 KJV)
And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him (Gen. 19:30 KJV)
the first-born said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us
Come, let us make our father drink wine, and let us lie with him, that we may preserve our family through our father (Gen. 19:32 KJV)
they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father (Gen. 19:33 KJV)
I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine tonight also; then you go in and lie with him
they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him (Gen. 19:35 KJV)
Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father (Gen. 19:36 KJV)
And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab (Gen. 19:37 KJV)
And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi (Gen. 19:38 KJV)
